چکیده

In the field of computer vision, the motion analysis techniques are increasingly robust and beginning to have an impact beyond laboratories. Computers are able nowadays to perform image processing in real time. Indeed, they could be used to build non-intrusive systems for gesture analysis. In particular, gesture and motion analysis is in strong demand in the athletics field. This is especially true for sports dealing with acrobatics, as acrobatics mix complex spatial rotations over multiple axes and may be combined with various postures. Thus, any sport using acrobatics requires a fine analysis. This paper presents a vision system focused on the analysis of acrobatic gestures from various sports. Instead of classical systems requiring modelizing human bodies, our system is based on the characterization of basic acrobatics movements. The system was successively tested first on trampoline sport movements, but also on other sports (gymnastics, diving, etc.). Within the system, the gestures analysis is mainly carried out by using global measurements, extracted from recorded movies or live video.

Capture de mouvements humains par capteurs RGB-D. (Capture human motions by RGB-D sensor )

Simultaneous apparition of depth and color sensors and super-realtime skeleton detection algorithms led to a surge of new research in Human Motion Capture. This feature is a key part of Human-Machine Interaction. But the applicative context of those new technologies is voluntary, fronto-parallel interaction with the sensor, which allowed the designers certain approximations and requires a speci...

Joint motion estimation and layer segmentation in transparent image sequences - Application to transparent-motion-compensated noise reduction in X-ray image sequences

This paper is concerned with the estimation of the motions and the segmentation of the spatial supports of the different layers involved in transparent X-ray image sequences. Classical motion estimation methods fail on sequences involving transparent effects since they do not explicitly model this phenomenon. We propose a method that comprises three main steps: initial block-matching for two-la...

Rate versus synchrony code for human action recognition

We propose a bio-inspired feedforward spiking network modeling two brain areas dedicated to motion (V1 and MT), and we show how the spiking output can be exploited in a computer vision application: action recognition. In order to analyze spike trains, we consider two characteristics of the neural code: mean firing rate of each neuron and synchrony between neurons. Interestingly, we show that th...
